about the me&thee |
Eberhardt is a superb singer, with a vast credible range of emotions, and a soulfulness that draws from rock and pop, but also from the best folk ballad styles.

Cliff Eberhardt has it all: a strong, compelling voice, great guitar chops, and a natural feel for harmony and melody. His tunes and lyrics are highly crafted and have a way of staying in your head long after the CD player's off. Eberhardt began singing as a teenager in Pennsylvania. By the 80s he was part of the thriving Greenwich Village folk scene that included John Gorka, Suzanne Vega, and Shawn Colvin and was a guitar-wielding sideman for Richie Havens, Melanie and others. He even made a living singing commercial jingles (like "The Heartbeat of America" for Chevrolet).
Billboard Magazine says that Eberhardt's most recent CD, "Borders," is "not to be missed." Its twelve songs highlight the boundaries -- physical and personal -- that divide us all.
