A tasty mélange of classic street corner soul, funk and hip hop.   The Boston Herald

Ball in the House, "Boston's original mouth band," celebrates the human voice. The only instruments you'll hear in this group are the rich voices of the singers. They do not sing to backing tracks on CDs or DATs — this is 100% live music. The group captured national attention while touring as back-up singers for Cher, Paula Cole, the Goo Goo Dolls, and 98 Degrees, not to mention performing at the Major League Baseball All-Star Game. They started as a four-man ensemble but after a while brought in two more members to add a percussion section that became a crucial part of their sound. The current lineup has been together since September 1998.
Ball in the House is currently touring to promote a new CD called "The Way It Has To Be," an a cappella album with a twist of electronica coming through the voices of these superb singers. You'll find a mixture of hard-hitting original tunes and sweet ballads on the CD and even a wild new spin on "Karma Chameleon" from the 80's rock band, Culture Club.
"Taking a cappella into the realm of hip hop and R&B, Ball in the House is a hit with young and old alike," says Intermixx Magazine. There's a certain N'Sync and Backstreet Boys appeal to this band, but their talent speaks for itself once they open their mouths. This is authentic music without the glitz, as their legions of fans can tell you. Experience Ball in the House in a small venue while you still can!
